Once upon a Time...
Fairytale Hair and Makeup came to life in 2003. The owner, Tara Fontana has always had a passion for weddings and special events.
Growing up all her Barbies had their hair done and were always getting married. Tara has always been a Disney fanatic and wanted to work at Disneyland.
Next Came Disney....
Tara started her cosmetology career on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills then ended up in Malibu. This is where she got the idea of a mobile hair & makeup service.
She built a website, started promoting the company and the response was overwhelming. She then started hiring other artists with the same passion and talent in Southern California.
Then There Was David Tutera…
Then came Northern California, Then Vegas. Her dream came true when she got the call from Disney. After years of success at Disneyland she went to Disney World and opened there.
Fairytale was chosen to be a part of 16 Episodes of David Tutera’s Shows, and even asked to do his own wedding! With almost two decades in business, we are so blessed for the clients that choose Fairytale Hair and Makeup to be a part of their big day.

We get asked quite often, “How do you find your artists? What does it take to be a part of Fairytale?” A large percentage of our artists are handpicked by Tara. She looks at their work, reviews, experience, rates and location. Because Tara is an artist herself, she is very particular about who represents Fairytale Hair and Makeup.
