What Should I Expect to Invest in Wedding Hair & Makeup?

Every wedding is different, so pricing varies based on the services requested, wedding date, party size, timeline, hairstyle complexity, travel requirements, and any special requests.

As a general guide, our Southern California pricing typically falls within the following ranges:

• Bride Hair & Makeup: Typically $500–$800
• Bridal Party Hair & Makeup: Typically $250–$300
• Bridal Hair & Makeup Trial: Typically $300–$500

These ranges represent the majority of weddings we service throughout Southern California. More intricate hairstyles, extensive hair extensions, specialty styling, or additional time-intensive services may require additional time and investment.

A Saturday during peak wedding season is very different from a weekday wedding during the off-season. Just like venues, photographers, hotels, and airfare, pricing is influenced by availability and demand. Our goal is always to provide fair, transparent pricing while matching you with the right artist for your wedding.

While many wedding hair and makeup companies require a minimum number of services for weekend weddings, we’re proud to accommodate celebrations of all sizes whenever our schedule allows.

Whether you’re planning a bride-only wedding, an intimate elopement, attending a wedding as a guest, celebrating a milestone birthday, attending a gala, having professional photos taken, or getting ready for another special occasion, we’d love to help.

Because Saturdays and peak wedding dates are in high demand, pricing for smaller bookings may differ from weddings with larger bridal parties. During those times, our artists are often reserving an entire morning for one or two services when they could otherwise accommodate a full wedding party.

Instead of requiring service minimums, we’ve chosen a different approach.

For bride-only weddings, the bridal service is priced to reflect the time your artist is reserving exclusively for you. As additional bridesmaids or family members join the hair and makeup experience, we’re often able to reduce the bride’s rate because the artist’s reserved time is being utilized more efficiently.

This flexible pricing structure allows us to welcome everything from intimate elopements to large wedding parties while creating a proposal that’s tailored specifically to your wedding.

If your schedule is flexible, weekday and off-season appointments may offer additional availability. No matter the size of your celebration, our goal remains the same. We want to provide exceptional artistry, outstanding service, and an experience you’ll truly enjoy.

Bridal Trials & Consultations

A bridal trial, sometimes called a bridal preview, is one of the best ways to feel confident going into your wedding day.

Many of our Southern California artists welcome brides into their private studios, while others are happy to travel directly to you. If you’d prefer an on-location bridal trial, travel fees may apply depending on your location.

Bridal hair and makeup trials typically range from $300–$500, depending on travel, location, and the services requested.

What’s the Difference Between a Trial and a Consultation?

A consultation is simply a conversation. We’re always happy to schedule a complimentary phone consultation to answer your questions, discuss your vision, review your inspiration photos, and help you determine the services that best fit your wedding day.

A bridal trial is an in-person appointment where your artist actually performs your hair and makeup. This allows you to see your complete bridal look before your wedding day, make any desired adjustments, and feel completely confident in your final style.

Because a bridal trial involves the same artistry, products, and dedicated appointment time as your wedding-day services, it is priced separately from your wedding-day package.

Why We Recommend Weekday Bridal Trials

Whenever possible, we recommend scheduling your bridal trial on a weekday.

Our artists often begin wedding days as early as 4:00 AM and may spend eight to ten hours creating beautiful hair and makeup before traveling home through Southern California traffic.

Rather than asking you to meet with an artist after a full wedding day, we prefer weekday appointments whenever possible so your artist can devote their full creativity, energy, and attention to you.

Your bridal trial is one of the most important parts of your wedding planning process. You deserve an artist who is relaxed, focused, and able to collaborate with you without feeling rushed.

If weekdays aren’t possible, off-season weekends or dates with artist availability may still be an option. We’ll always do our best to accommodate your schedule.

Travel Fees

Southern California is a large service area, and travel time can vary significantly depending on your wedding location.

We proudly serve Santa Barbara County, Ventura County, Los Angeles County, Orange County, Riverside County, San Bernardino County, and San Diego County. Travel fees may apply depending on the distance between your artist and your getting-ready location.

If your wedding is outside our standard service area, we’d still love to hear from you. We’re always happy to discuss destination weddings and special events throughout California and beyond.

Parking

Any parking fees incurred during your bridal trial or wedding day service are the responsibility of the client. This includes hotel parking, valet, resort parking, parking garages, paid lots, or any other parking expenses required for our artists to access your getting-ready location.

If paid parking is required, we ask that clients either arrange parking in advance or reimburse the artist for any parking expenses incurred during the appointment.

Additional Artists

One artist can typically accommodate up to eight standard services within a comfortable wedding-day timeline.

If your wedding requires additional artists to accommodate a larger party or shorten your getting-ready timeline, we’ll recommend the appropriate number of artists for your day.

Some couples also choose to add an additional artist simply to create a more relaxed morning or finish earlier in the day. We’re happy to customize your timeline to fit your priorities.

If additional artists are requested beyond those included in your customized proposal, an additional artist fee may apply.

Touch-Up Services

Many Southern California weddings include first looks, beach portraits, vineyard photography, sunset portraits, outfit changes, and receptions that continue well into the evening.

Touch-up services may include:

• Lipstick and makeup touch-ups
• Shine control
• Hair smoothing and flyaway control
• Veil placement and removal
• Hairstyle changes before the reception
• Hair accessory changes
• Groom touch-ups
• Bridal party touch-ups
• Preparing everyone for sunset or evening photography

Early Morning & Late Evening Services

Some Southern California weddings require exceptionally early start times or late evening services to accommodate photography schedules, ceremony times, or venue requirements.

Services beginning before 8:00 AM may be subject to an early morning fee.

Services beginning after 8:00 PM may be subject to a late evening fee.

The applicable fee depends on your artist’s required start time and will always be outlined in your personalized proposal before booking.
