Airbrush, Mineral, or Traditional Makeup: How to Choose the Perfect Option for Your Wedding Day
We have a lot of brides wanting airbrush makeup and they aren’t sure what it does or why they should have airbrush. Their friend had it and loved it so you should love it too. This is not really the case. Some love it, others not so much. Everyone’s skin is different. The truth is the makeup is only as good as the client’s skin and the artist. If the artist is using the wrong products for your skin, it doesn’t matter what method they use, it most likely will not hold up. The makeup is also only as good as the artist. Sometimes drugstore makeup works just as good as high end makeup. It all depends on the artist, the application and your skin.
No matter the type of makeup. Makeup can cover discoloration and can contour. The makeup artist is not a plastic surgeon. If we were, we would be first in line to get rid of our double chins, A nose job, cheek bones etc. While makeup can greatly help these areas with contouring. There is only so much makeup you can do. Makeup cannot smooth out skin imperfections, pimples, warts. It will just cover up the discoloration.
How you prep your skin for the application is huge.
If your skin is dry and you haven’t exfoliated in months, The makeup will not look as clean & flawless. So hydrate. Exfoliate your skin prior to services. If you are planning to have facials or start a new skin care regime, do not start it a month before the event. Starting a new product or having facials when the skin is not used to it may have the opposite effect that you are looking for. Facials tend to bring the things up that are lying under your skin and can bring on breakouts before clearing the skin. I would recommend starting a new skin care regime months before the wedding. This also will give your opportunity to heal if you happen to have any reactions to any products.
Just like your skin care, your makeup should be customized to what works best for you. Communication with your artist is key. Make sure to tell them what your goals are. What you like, what you don’t. We will work with you to achieve the optimal end result.
Some artists love airbrush, some don’t. Talk with your artist about your skin & goals. The two of you can make the best decision on what application is right for you.

What it is:
First of all apply Airbrush Makeup with a air gun. It is a light-weight Makeup that creates a thin even layer matte finish.
Subsequently the finish can be thin or heavy depending on the application. Makeup is made specifically to to be put through the airbrush gun.
Also use your favorite foundation and mix it with an airbrush makeup thinner. To sum it up you are able to use your favorite Makeup making it possible to use it with the airbrush gun.a
How it’s used:
Fill the chamber of the airbrush gun with a small amount of very thin makeup designed for airbrush use. Turn on the machine and pull the trigger to produce a fine mist of makeup.
Mineral
What it is:
Mineral Makeup is composed of several oxidized minerals to create different shades.
Also another way is to crush it together to form fine powder. Finally apply it to the face as makeup.
How it’s used:
For Instance; Mineral makeup is usually applied with a brush, although it can be used with a sponge for thicker and more precise applications.
Similarly some lines offer different steps to wearing their mineral makeup, including primers that are applied to the face before the foundation, As a result providing holding power, create an even porosity on the skins surface. In conclusion and a smoother and above all more matte finish all around.
Most makeup artists will not recommend mineral makeup for photography & events. It is great for the day to day. Most mineral makeup has minerals in it that will cause flashback in your photos. We don’t want you to look like a ghost in your photos!
