Hi, I’m Tara — the proud founder and owner of Fairytale Hair & Makeup, based in Ventura, California, and serving Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Los Angeles, and beyond! ✨

Since I was a little girl, I’ve been captivated by weddings. Growing up in the salon with my mom — a talented hairdresser — I fell in love with the world of beauty early on. I actually styled my first bride at just eight years old! From that moment, all my Barbies had braids, curls, and veils — and one was always getting married. 💕

After high school, I went straight to cosmetology school and began my professional journey on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills at José Eber Salon — not a bad place to start! Eventually, I found myself in Malibu, where I built an incredible celebrity clientele and was booked out years in advance for proms and high-profile events. But somewhere in all that glam, I realized something magical — the brides were the real celebrities. Their joy, their love stories, their excitement… that was where my heart truly belonged. 💍

And so, Fairytale Hair & Makeup was born. I created a website, attended my first bridal show, and the response was overwhelming. Soon, I built a team of talented artists who shared my same heart, passion, and perfectionism — and together, we began creating beauty magic for weddings all across Southern California. 🌸

Our Fairytale quickly expanded — first to Las Vegas, then to Central Florida, where I began partnering with Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings. For the last two decades, I’ve had the honor of creating bridal beauty for couples at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World, turning princess dreams into reality. ✨👑

Around that same time, I was invited to work on 16 episodes of “My Fair Wedding” with David Tutera — a career highlight that brought Fairytale artistry to a national audience. The ultimate honor came when I was personally asked to do the hair and makeup for David Tutera’s own wedding. 💖

Today, Fairytale Hair & Makeup continues to thrive with an incredible team of artists who pour their hearts into every wedding. I’m endlessly grateful to do what I love — helping brides feel radiant, calm, and completely beautiful on one of the most meaningful days of their lives.
